Supporting the Next Generation

For us at Pathways to Aviation, supporting the next generation of aviation enthusiasts is about more than simply being generous. We’re dedicated to fueling a lifelong passion for flight in young people and shaping the future of the aviation industry. For those of us who have experienced the exhilaration of flight firsthand or felt the satisfaction of seeing an aircraft design come to life, we understand the profound impact an education in aviation can have. We hope to encourage young people to pursue their own aviation journeys, but we know that financial barriers can be a major hindrance. That’s why we offer a variety of scholarships that can be put towards pilot training, academic degrees, technical certifications, and more.

The Brigadier General Fred L. Michel Aviation Scholarship

Created in Fall 2007 through the collaborative efforts of the Stead Airport Users’ Association and Pathways to Aviation, this scholarship exists to support youth in Northern Nevada and the East Sierra areas who have a strong interest in aviation, offering them an invaluable stepping stone toward achieving their goals in the skies.
