The 2020 career workshop season launched in amazing fashion last night in Reno!
Twenty-six students representing 12 high schools and colleges, roughly 20 parents and guests, and five guest speakers filled the Civil Air Patrol building for an incredible career planning workshop.
Students received a copy of the newly-released 2020 Career Planning Workbook, containing lists of scholarships, colleges, and salary tables. The workbook features a number of career readiness best practices, two of which (career plan and job searching) were discussed in greater detail.
A big thanks to our enlightening speakers:
- Jake Henry – 2019 Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University graduate
- Greg Meisinger – US Navy and American Airlines pilot
- Jill Atkinson – Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority Human Resources director
- Joe Rajacic – former pilot for United Airlines, director of ALEX
- Nikki Antone – owner of Designing Destinies
As a bonus, students were invited to participate in unique characteristics and personality assessment at no cost.
Below are just a few photo highlights from the evening.
