It’s been a phenomenal year!

Our career mentoring program, Futures in Aerospace, has exceeded all anticipations by impacting a large number of future aviation leaders. The program identifies interested high school and college students and builds pathways to guide them toward continued education and/or direct workforce employment opportunities. In the first two years of the careers and mentoring program, students received career readiness tools, best practices, and mentors, thus elevating their chances of pursuing their educational and career goals.

One year after working closely with eight high school students, we’ve been busy developing pathways and opportunities for 76 high school and college students this spring. Thanks to the support of industry leaders, education administrators, and key funders, our career mentoring program is truly making a difference towards the aviation industry’s workforce shortage.

Students engaged in our program have varying backgrounds, experiences, and career interests. Most enter the program seeking guidance in specialty areas, as well as essential career planning resources. Graphs below represent their aviation industry interests and career planning needs. Click to view in greater detail.

By the time they reach the big moment…the Aviation Networking Night receptions….they’re prepared to talk internships, colleges, and jobs with industry executives and school recruiters.

We hope to see you!

Whether you want to talk to 20+ outstanding students at the two networking receptions, or wish to attend only to observe from afar, or simply choose to read our news and social media posts, we hope to inform, inspire, and engage you with our first-ever Aviation Career Week. The week is off to a flying start!
