We’re one week away from the launch of our Futures in Aerospace program. Can you believe it’s year number 3?! To best celebrate our third run, we’ve added a third location…welcome Carson Airport!
Even if you’re not entirely familiar with the program, you definitely know of the growing workforce shortage problem within the aerospace industry. Well, it’s just not here, but also prevalent in the automotive, construction, and other skilled trade industries. Our hope, through the Futures in Aerospace program, is to prevent shortages in areas where we have a footprint.
The third year of our aviation career program launches next week for all high school and college students. The program features career planning workshops and networking receptions, where industry leaders interface directly with students. Each workshop connects students to aerospace executives, who describe their specialties, share aviation passions, and provide career advice. Students attending the workshops will gain a greater understanding of job searching, skills identification, resume writing, interviewing, and networking.
If you know of students who may be interested in attending…or you’re interested in learning more about the program, feel free to attend one or more of next week’s workshops. Students will learn about airport operations at each host airport. Click the location below for additional details and to RSVP.
A big thank you!
The Futures in Aerospace program is free of charge for all participating students thanks to vital financial support. Contributions received from the ISTAT Foundation, E.L. Cord Foundation, Truckee Tahoe Airport District and, most recently, Click Bond, are truly investments in the future aerospace workforce. Providing resources, information, and leaders to bright young minds is made possible due to these incredible partners. Thank you!
You are invited to join these incredible supporters by making a contribution of any amount or becoming a sponsor of this year’s program. Click here to learn more and make a solid investment!
