The second workshop on the four-part career planning series focused on hard and soft skills.

The site was the Truckee Tahoe Airport, where fifteen students participated in conversations and presentations about aerospace careers.

The workshop featured two passionate industry leaders:

• Jessica Fay – Co-Owner of Sierra Aero
• David Van Quest – Aviation & Community Services for the Truckee Tahoe Airport District

Both these leaders related their career journeys and career advice in personal ways with the students. It was quite remarkable.

The balance of the workshop was spent identifying the skills desired by employers and the skills which the students currently possess. The interactive conversation resulted in deeper discussions about ways to add skills and how to enhance their existing qualities.
