Students in grades 8 to 12 are invited to participate in a unique Build-A-Plane Camp at the Carson Airport in August.
Interested in building a real airplane? Want to learn what it takes to build an experimental aircraft? The Build A Plane 2019 project is a 3 day hands-on day camp where students learn about piston, jet and rocket engines, have an opportunity to use tools to bend, cut, wire and learn techniques (flaring, tubing, burring) . It includes a museum tour and an aviation/aerospace company tour, a chance to meet aviation professionals, and work on a Zodiac plane. Open to students 8th-12th grade. Seats are limited.
