Pathways to Aviation was awarded the Technology Nonprofit of the Year by Nevada’s Center for Entrepreneurship & Technology.
The recent NCET Technology Awards celebrated the Northern Nevada individuals and companies who have greatly enhanced the growth and prestige of the technology community. The Technology Non-Profit of the Year Award is presented to the nonprofit organization whose programs, events and educational activities make technology more accessible, affordable, secure, and simpler for people in northern Nevada; or which creatively and effectively uses technology to delivers its services to stakeholders.
Pathways to Aviation was recognized for the career readiness certification system it designed to train and guide high school and college students toward aviation and aerospace employment. Launched in 2020, the system makes career readiness training more accessible for all students at no charge. Students also attend weekly online workshops and participate in small-group mentoring to fine-tune their career readiness skills.
