Our friends at the Aviation Technician Education Council published its annual industry report.

The report presents data based on information collected as of September 2023. It identifies that the certified mechanic workforce is growing, but has a way to go to meet industry demand. The need for greater numbers of students pursuing technician-related careers within the industry is as extreme as ever. The number of new career personnel rose 1.8% last year, which is great, but the rate of A&P students becoming certified mechanics is at an all-time low. The aviation mechanic job outlook looks bright, but we must act now.
