Doing business as Pathways to Aviation, the Reno Air Racing Foundation’s purpose is to encourage and support young men and women to pursue studies and careers in aviation, aerospace and aeronautics; to perpetuate the memory and spirit of aircraft, general aviation and air racing and their places in history; and, to promote and establish relationships with organizations that share and support our common purpose.
Dave Wilbern Memorial
We mourn the loss of our good friend, Dave Wilbern. Dave was COO of the Reno Air Racing Association, and instrumental in the success of the National Championship Air Races. He was fond of the Boy Scouts and the Experimental Aircraft Association…two organizations which impact the lives of young people.
His family asked the Foundation to accept contributions, in his memory, to be applied to aviation-inspiring education and outreach initiatives.

Interested in speaking to students?
We’re actively developing ways to introduce young men and women to the world of aviation. Whether it’s a pathway to careers, a basic introduction to flight, or a tool to inspire greater academic performance, getting in front of students is an important quest of the Foundation.
We invite aviation leaders, experts, and enthusiasts to join our crew to inspire young people through the basic introduction and, perhaps advanced discussion, of aviation.

With the Holiday season comes a strong spirit of giving. As the calendar year comes to an end, the time is ideal to make a donation to the Foundation. All contributions will be invested into programs, scholarships, and support of local aviation pursuits.
