We’re one week away from the launch of our Futures in Aerospace program. Can you believe it’s year number 3?! To best celebrate our third run, we’ve added a third location…welcome Carson Airport!
Even if you’re not entirely familiar with the program, you definitely know of the growing workforce shortage problem within the aerospace industry. Well, it’s just not here, but also prevalent in the automotive, construction, and other skilled trade industries. Our hope, through the Futures in Aerospace program, is to prevent shortages in areas where we have a footprint.
The third year of our aviation career program launches next week for all high school and college students. The program features career planning workshops and networking receptions, where industry leaders interface directly with students. Each workshop connects students to aerospace executives, who describe their specialties, share aviation passions, and provide career advice. Students attending the workshops will gain a greater understanding of job searching, skills identification, resume writing, interviewing, and networking.
If you know of students who may be interested in attending…or you’re interested in learning more about the program, feel free to attend one or more of next week’s workshops. Students will learn about airport operations at each host airport. Click the location below for additional details and to RSVP.
January 22 – Reno
January 23 – Carson
January 24 – Truckee Tahoe
