ATEC – Real and Emerging Technologies

New aerospace technologies are currently under development, and some flying, that will change how people and cargo will travel forever. These new technologies include Urban Air Mobility, Hybrid Air Transports, Large Unmanned Cargo Aircraft, and Space Vehicles. The deployment of these technologies will not be without its challenges related to infrastructure and workforce development. However, the opportunities they offer cannot be ignored. As aerospace professionals and educators, we must be prepared to support the certification, manufacture, acquisition, operation, aftermarket support, and workforce development for each of these systems. Will we be ready for the expected growth in demand for these aerospace lift systems?
