The scholarships are open to any female who is (1) a student pilot and has soloed by application deadline, or (2) a licensed pilot pursuing an advanced rating, license or certificate and has completed a minimum of 5 hours of flight training with a Certified Flight Instructor in any category of aircraft (i.e. airplane, rotorcraft, glider, lighter-than-air, and powered lift), or instruction in an FAA approved device towards the advanced rating/license by the application deadline. Additionally, the 5 hours of flight training must have been in the category of aircraft applicant is applying for.
