We’re pleased to announce the name of the keynote speaker at the upcoming Pathways to Aviation Speakers Forum.
Howard Putnam, former CEO of Southwest Airlines, is excited to take the stage at our big event!
In addition to his leadership at Southwest, Howard is the former CEO of Braniff Airlines and Group Vice President of Marketing for United Airlines. Howard is a business and motivational speaker, author, consultant, commentator, and online mentor on: Leadership, Customer Service, Change, Transformation and Ethics. Howard is also a founding member of the Reno Air Racing Foundation’s Board of Trustees.
The date for this year’s Pathways to Aviation Speakers Forum is Wednesday, April 8 and will take place in the Joe Crowley Student Union on the University of Nevada campus. There’s no cost to attend, but RSVPs are required.

Student Ambassador Program Launched
The Foundation is launching a special internship program for middle and high school students seeking experience in the world of aviation. The internship fosters a very reasonable time requirement to perform duties associated with earning credit and creating viable impact through the intern’s efforts.
Forward this to a young person who might want to serve as the campus representative for his or her school.

The Reno Air Racing Foundation, doing business as Pathways to Aviation, was founded as a 501c3 non-profit organization in 2004. The Foundation’s purpose is to encourage and support young men and women to pursue studies and careers in aviation, aerospace and aeronautics; to perpetuate the memory and spirit of aircraft, general aviation and air racing and their places in history; and, to promote and establish relationships with organizations that share and support our common purpose.
