Our presence at the National Championship Air Races will expand once again.
In response to growing popularity, community support, and interest from our aviation partners, Air Race patrons can expect a more impressive experience this September.
The expansion will be seen in terms of space and programs. We now occupy the entire section, formerly known as the “heritage” section. Located just west of the Military static display, the Pathways to Aviation Learning Center will feature a veritable “learning playground” for enthusiasts of all ages.
From a programs perspective, visitors will recognize:
- More classes for K-12 students visiting on structured field trips
- A specially-designed High School Day on Wednesday, where students will participate in day-long class-to-career programs
- The Drone Zone as a feature in our section
- A new Corporate, Non-Profit, and Education Row
- Aviation workshops for all ages on Saturday and Sunday
- Visits with members of the Blue Angels team
Other additions may include:
- A small air racing museum
- A new career expo
- Drone-building contests for kids
The Aviation Learning Center is gearing up to be the most exciting, interactive, and meaningful experience in the history of the Reno Air Races.
