We’re currently experiencing tremendous momentum with our educational and career pathway programs and are excited what’s in store moving forward.
Aviation Networking Night was a big success!
Last month’s networking event, where we paired students with aviation leaders, was a phenomenal success. It was the first event of its kind and the culmination of a four-part career-readiness series. Hosted at Atlantic Aviation, ten students engaged in conversations with 22 aviation experts. Using a speed networking format, each student spent about seven minutes with each leader.
Responses from Professionals…
“It was great to meet so many talented motivated young people.”
“I love that these bright individuals took the initiative to learn from your fantastic program. What a fantastic way to prepare kids with skills they just don’t get in school.”
“The level of engagement and participation by both the students and mentors was exceptional.”
Responses from Students…
“The ability to have people that were in the field provide help on how to go about getting into it.”
“It was great to able to meet people who were currently working in the industries I was interested in exploring, and it was amazing to able to get firsthand accounts of what the industry is like.”
The number of students, the number of leaders, and the venue all proved to be exceptional for our first event. Special thanks go to Patrick Wink for opening Atlantic’s doors, Eric Henry for co-facilitating the event and career mentoring series, the aviation leaders for taking time from work and families, and the students for participating in the mentoring program. It was a complete success.

Aviation Career Flight Plan targets Truckee!
Based on the overwhelming success of our Nevada Aviation Careers Initiative, we’re about to announce a specially-designed program for students in the Truckee area. Through a partnership with the Truckee Tahoe Airport District, local students will learn about the aviation industry, learn career preparation skills, and meet college and employment recruiters. The program will be unveiled on July 8 at the Truckee Air Show.
Make a donation to inspire kids with the world of aviation.
We’re going to great lengths to drive the aviation industry’s future in Nevada. Whether it’s by coordinating STEM and aviation-based field trips for kids, guiding high school students toward college and career success, helping craft aviation curriculum for schools, talking aviation and careers at local schools, or showcasing aviation at big events, we’re doing all we can to inform, inspire, and engage the industry’s next generation. Every donation brings a young person closer to aviation.

Do you have an hour to share?
We’re actively seeking those with a passion for aviation to help mentor high school students on their journeys toward careers in the aviation industry. The mentoring will take place during career development workshops and networking exchanges we’re coordinating for students. It’s a great way to meet outstanding talent anxious to enter the industry and, especially if you’re hiring!
