A big night in Truckee

A big night in Truckee

March 21, 2019

It was a big night at the Carson Airport for the Futures in Aerospace program.

Three incredible industry leaders highlighted the evening session, sharing their career journeys, current employment situations, and passions for aerospace. They also provided advice about the skills they seek in new hires. A big thanks to:

  • Kurt Haukohl – Director of Aviation Services for the Nevada Department of Transportation
  • Michael Reynolds – Army veteran, aerospace engineer, and instructor
  • Leah Ochs – Manufacturing Engineer for Click Bond, Inc.

The workshop presented a unique opportunity to feature two career planning topics in one session. The large group of students learned about hard and soft skills, as well as a complete guide to crafting a strong resume.

The students were invited to send their resumes to receive reviews, complete with suggested improvements.

The next workshop in the Carson Flight Plan series takes place on Wednesday, April 24. It’ll feature valuable leaders from Click Bond. The topics will be personal branding and networking.
