Career workshops taking place throughout the month of March help students develop valuable networking skills.
In February, students learned ways to articulate their experiences and education in a written format, by developing strong resumes. Now, the focus shifts to verbalizing one’s skills, interests, experiences, and career goals.
The art of networking is not easy to perfect, but students will learn tips to making the most of each conversation, whether it’s in line at a concert, at a large gathering, or at a specifically-designed networking reception. Students will learn the fundamentals of networking, which involves first impressions, meeting and greeting, body language, and conversation queues. They’ll even learn how to end conversations, make introductions, and followup networking encounters.
All high school and college students are invited and encouraged to attend one or more career mentoring workshops, taking place at three different airports.
